Paris Monument
This neo Renaissance building dating back to 1873 was situated on the once "Grand Place de Grève".
It was built to replace the previous one which was burnt out under the Commune in 1871. The square was once where took place horrid executions. Ravaillac, the murderer of Henri IV was torn apart alive in 1610.
136 statues represent famous historical figures. Its beautiful rooms are decorated by various 19th Century artists.
