Its inauguration in 1989 was to celebrate the bicentennial storming of the Bastille. Accepted in 1992 to be the largest Opera House in the world the building was strongly criticized for its architecture. This is one of the most modern opera houses in Europe. Its acoustics are approved unanimously. Guided tours only. |
